Animation & Digital Media Classes for Kids & Teens
Illustration, animation, and creative media in Scottsdale
Learn to draw, animate, edit, and tell stories on screen, from first illustrations through Adobe tools, 2D animation, and video production.
Learn illustration, animation, and digital media
This hub is for students who want to create on screen: illustration, 2D and character animation, stop-motion and movie making, photo and video editing, and other digital media projects. Courses use creative software and storytelling practice, not physical fabrication tools and not coding-first game engines.
Students practice illustration and design (sketching, composition, character work), animation principles (timing, movement, bringing characters to life), on-screen storytelling, and digital production tools, including Adobe for illustration, photo editing, and Premiere video work.
These classes suit young artists and storytellers across ages 4–17, whether they are drawing for the first time or ready for teen Adobe illustration, Premiere editing, or character animation. Programs run at our Scottsdale facility with year-round instructors and are Arizona ESA approved.
Animation and digital media are adjacent to, but not the same as, makerspace courses (3D printers, embroidery, and fabrication), engineering classes (physics, circuits, and hardware), coding, or game development. Many students start with illustration or stop-motion and later add animation, video, or another STEM area.
