About This Course
This advanced competition course is designed for students who have progressed beyond the state level and qualified for the FIRST LEGO League World Championship. Building on prior competition experience, students will design, build, and program autonomous robots to complete complex table missions under competition-style constraints, including time limits, scoring systems, and strategic trade-offs. In addition to robot game preparation, students will further develop their research into a real-world archaeological challenge and their solution.
You'll learn to:
- Apply advanced robotics concepts
- Develop high-level competition strategies to optimize scoring, efficiency, and reliability
- Conduct research to identify real-world problems in archaeology and propose innovative, technology-driven solutions
- Use iterative design, testing, and data analysis to refine robot performance
- Communicate technical ideas clearly through presentations, documentation, and teamwork
- Collaborate effectively under competitive conditions while demonstrating leadership and professionalism
Choose a Lesson Package
Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
