About This Course
The course covers a broad range of topics, including teaching, educational administration, counseling, and specialized support roles. Students will explore different educational settings and career options through guest speakers, field trips, and hands-on projects. Additionally, the curriculum includes guidance on pursuing higher education opportunities and necessary credentials for various educational careers. By the end of the course, students will have a clear understanding of the diverse career options in education and the steps needed to achieve their professional goals.
You'll learn to:
- Insights into various teaching roles, including elementary, secondary, and special education, and the skills and qualifications required for each.
- Understanding the roles of principals, school administrators, and district officials, and the pathways to these leadership positions.
- Exploration of careers in school counseling, educational psychology, and student support services, including required education and certifications.
- Information on pursuing degrees and credentials in education, including college programs, certifications, and continuing education options.
- Examination of different educational environments such as public schools, private schools, charter schools, and alternative education programs, and the career opportunities available in each.
Choose a Lesson Package
Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
