About This Course
In this hands-on program, students will have the opportunity to build their very own submersible remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from scratch. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will learn essential skills such as cutting PVC pipes, drilling, and using soldering irons to assemble their ROV. With a focus on safety and technique, students will gain confidence in handling tools and equipment. As they work through the construction process, young engineers will also explore the principles of buoyancy, hydrodynamics, and control systems. By the end of the course, each student will proudly take home their fully functional submersible ROV for underwater exploration, ready to embark on their own marine adventures.
You'll learn to:
- Gain knowledge of fundamental robotics concepts such as buoyancy, hydrodynamics, and control systems, crucial for designing and operating underwater robots effectively
- Properly wire motors, control systems, and electronic components, ensuring the functionality of the robot
- Develop problem-solving abilities as they tackle challenges, troubleshoot issues, and find solutions during the construction process
