About This Course
This course teaches students how to apply their Engineering skills. They will get hands-on experience wiring complex circuits, learn to build with mechanical components, and gain practical knowledge about proper soldering, the science of circuits. This is a great introduction to advanced, college-level concepts, and is a great way for students to get a head start on their future as potential electrical or mechanical engineers!
You'll learn to:
- Robot assembly: Learn to build a robot from scratch, including chassis, motors, wheels, and sensors.
- Electronics and circuitry: Understand electronic components, wiring, and connections for a functional robot.
- Programming and control: Develop coding skills to control the robot using languages like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
- Sensor integration: Learn to incorporate various sensors (e.g., ultrasonic, infrared) into the robot\’s design.
- Project-based challenges: Engage in hands-on challenges that foster creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Choose a Lesson Package
Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
