About This Course
This course is designed to inspire students to unleash their creativity and explore the world of character design. In this course, young artists will learn how to bring their imaginative characters to life using digital illustration techniques. They will dive into the fundamentals of character creation, exploring aspects such as character design, body proportions, and coloring and shading. Through interactive lessons and hands-on projects, students will discover how to use professional-grade digital tools to bring life to their characters, creating visually captivating artwork. The course will also emphasize storytelling and character development, encouraging students to imagine the personalities and backstories of their creations. By the end of the course, young learners will be experienced creators, designing their own vibrant and original character designs, showcasing their artistic talents and fostering their love for storytelling through visual art.
You'll learn to:
- Understand foundational principles and techniques of character design, body proportions, dynamic posing, and outfit design, and how these elements contribute to creating compelling characters
- Use digital drawing tablets and software specifically tailored for character design, enabling you to create unique character illustrations
- Develop your own unique characters, experimenting with different styles, personalities, and backstories
Choose a Lesson Package
Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
