About This Course

This exciting course allows students to explore the fascinating world of science through everyday kitchen items! During hands-on experiments, students will learn about critical chemical reactions, properties, and behaviors that occur. This hands-on course is perfect for students of all levels, beginner to advanced, who are interested in exploring the scientific principles related to what happens in the kitchen. Using household items such as baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring, students will conduct fun experiments that demonstrate the principles of chemistry in a practical way.

You'll learn to:

  • Understand fundamental concepts of chemistry, such as atoms, molecules, and chemical reactions
  • Identify the properties of materials, including solids, liquids, and gasses, and to distinguish between acids and bases
  • Develop important scientific skills, such as observation, data collection, and analysis
  • Explore the practical applications of chemistry in everyday life

Choose a Lesson Package

Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
