About This Course

This beginner Java course covers the fundamentals of Java programming, starting with the basics of variables, data types, and operators. Students will learn how to use control structures, such as if statements and loops, to write simple programs and algorithms. Object-oriented programming concepts are also introduced, including classes, objects, methods, and inheritance. Throughout the course, students will participate in hands-on activities and projects that allow them to practice their programming skills. They will also have a solid understanding of programming concepts that will prepare them for further study in Java programming or other programming languages.

You'll learn to:

  • Understand programming fundamentals including variables, data types, and operators
  • Use control structures, such as if statements and loops to write simple programs and algorithms
  • Write basic Java programs, including simple games and calculators

Choose a Lesson Package

Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
