[one_half]
Why Choose Us?
[steps_with_circle]
- Low class ratios and personalized curriculum. Many times our group classes have one or two students in them. That's a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio! Our largest class is 12 students and has no less than 2 teachers. That's still no more than a 1:6 ratio. Personalized curriculum, really? YES. Every child works at their own pace and level. Our projects begin as simple projects but can go into great depth. It's up to the student. We are there to encourage and maximize potential in every child.
- Engineers and Certified Teachers on staff. How many children get to work with an Engineer with 20 years of experience and a masters degree from MIT? Our students do. Typically students over 12yrs of age (and some younger) get this incredible exposure...and in a small classroom setting (remember low ratios!). Want to ensure one on one access to this opportunity? This engineer is available to all students for private tutoring.
- High tech equipment and ample materials. We don't take the cheap way out! Every student in robotics classes gets approximately $500 worth of robotics equipment dedicated to them throughout the session. They also have access to computers. No waiting for computer or supplies. Nothing but the best for them. We use the latest products and software available.

We've been coming to DCRobotics since the beginning and can't say enough great things about it. The family based business started as a small club at the local community center and there is nothing else like this anywhere! Our children have made many long term friends and would be upset if we ever stopped coming. My son is a serious gamer and loves the gaming classes! My daughter assistant teaches the little children the robotics she learned at DCR, when she was younger. The owners encourage the older children to help the younger ones. You can sometimes see me volunteering in the office, giving a tour or helping on a field trip. My family and I love giving back to an organization that has given us so much! It's the least we can do!
My son is "nuts" about DCRobotics. I can't believe how much he has changed, by just taking classes! He was so shy when he started over a year ago, and hardly made eye contact with other children his age. His confidence has grown by being part of this caring and supportive technology center. He has found other people like him, finally! The staff at DCR is definitely technically qualified, but best of all, they are caring. They know all the children by their first names and treat them with respect. The husband and wife team only hire the best people, and use their own children to help out. Daytona has made a ton of friends there. Lifelong ones. He is having a Game Birthday Party there soon, and guess who he is inviting? His friends from DCR (and of course a few other school friends)! When he had a chance to join the robotics team at his school, he picked DCR's team instead. He sits alone for a study period while his school friends take robotics at school. That's real commitment!
I have known the owners for years. Their daughter went to school with my son Jake. Both our children are gifted with ADHD. Diane and Kent (the owners) trully understand what it takes to stimulate and engage a child that is "different" from the rest or need "special attention". They are patient and understanding. Eventhough my son had challenges that others didn't, he didn't feel like he was different at DCRobotics. He just fit in.
